Each lender applies a Loan-to-Income (LTI) multiplier to your gross annual income. Skipton and April cap this at 4.49 times your income, whilst Hanley and Melton use manual affordability assessments.
Skipton and Hanley Economic use your current rent to cap what you can borrow. Your new mortgage payment cannot exceed 150% (Skipton) or 133% (Hanley) of what you currently pay in rent.
